Hotel Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please read our cancellation policy carefully. Please note that bookings not made directly with St George's Hotel, either by telephone on 01492 877544 or using our own online booking system, may be subject to different cancellation policies. If you choose to use a third-party booking system, please read their cancellation policies carefully. If in doubt, please contact us.

ROOM BOOKINGS

The Hotel may take authorisation or full pre-payment from your payment card on check-in, dependant on reservation.

Cancellations must be received no later than 2pm 72hrs before your arrival. Cancellations made after this time will incur a cancellation charge of 100% of your stay. Any deposits and pre-payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Information on Holiday Insurance can be supplied on request.

If you are booking or have booked via a third party such as booking.com or other online travel agent, please check their small print carefully as their cancellation policy may be different.

EVENT BOOKINGS

We ask for a deposit and / or payment up front for our special events, such as wine tastings, candlet lit dinners, murder mystery evenings and Mother's Day Sunday lunch. Any cancellations made 2 weeks before the date of the event will be refunded in full.
If you have to cancel after this time, we will offer you the opportunity to use the deposit or monies paid on another date. T&Cs may differ, so please check your confirmation email. If you’d like to attend one of our events, please call us to book your space on 01492 877544.

RESTAURANT/LOUNGE BOOKINGS

1. We require card details for any reservations held with us so that any fees applicable can be charged. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any booking that is cancelled, or if numbers are reduced without prior notice.

2. For all bookings, you must notify us of a cancellation or any changes to the number of guests at least 48-hours prior to your booking arrival.

3. St George's Hotel reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of £20 per person for any bookings changed or cancelled within this 48-hour notice period.

4. Any bookings which fail to turn up without any prior notice, will incur a £20 per person fee.

5. The cancellation fee reflects the cost incurred by St George's Hotel in terms of staffing, food, and any lost revenue as a result of turning away other potential bookings.

6. We will notify you if any cancellation fee is applied.

PACKAGE BOOKINGS

For our special breaks and packages, such as weekend, Bank Holidays or Festive packages, a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit and / or full payment is required to confirm the reservation. Cancellation and terms and conditions will vary per package booked. If St George's has to cancel a reservation for any reason, we will refund any deposits made and (if agreeable by both parties) offer alternative dates.

GROUP BOOKINGS

For group bookings of 3 rooms or more, 7 days notice of cancellation is required. Please read the conditions of your group booking as cancellation conditions may vary depending on the number of rooms booked.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

St George's Hotel reserves the right to change these cancellation policies from time to time as it sees fit. Your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.
