Your Perfect Summer Escape

Llandudno – A Historic Victorian Resort with Mountains and Sea on the Doorstep.

The Lonely Planet describes Llandudno as -

Wales' biggest seaside resort straddles a peninsula with long sandy beaches on either side. Developed as an upmarket holiday town for Victorian visitors, Llandudno still retains much of its 19th-century grandeur, with graceful wedding-cake architecture lining its sweeping waterfront promenade.

July, August and through into September are perfect months to visit the beautiful seafront town and explore the many attractions and cultural sites dotted across the whole of the North Wales Coast through to Anglesey on the North West Coast.

St George’s Hotel is proud to be one of the first seafront hotels built on the promenade, overlooking the breath-taking Bay of Llandudno protected on either side by the Great and Little Ormes and sheltered by the expansive Snowdonia mountain range to the South West.

When a region describes itself as having ‘something for everyone’ this could not be more true than for Llandudno and the North Wales Coast. The resort has always been very popular for families and the more discerning mature traveller, this remains to be the case. Long, flat, immaculately tidy streets dotted with flowerpots and hanging baskets offering variety of boutique coffee shops, independent gift shops and one of the biggest Marks and Spencers and Debenhams in the region.

For those looking to spend a couple of hours fishing, the long pebbly beaches of Crag y don are perfect, in fact the 2018 World Shore Angling Championships saw anglers from all over the world fishing these waters.

The open-air paddling pool always brings plenty of smiles to kids and parents alike, what could be better than relaxing in the sun reading a book whilst the children safely play in the pool that is well over 100 metres long but only 2 feet deep.

Finding something that the whole family can enjoy during a holiday can often be one of the most difficult things to plan. The only problem when visiting North Wales is having enough time to try everything. Would anyone believe that you can go surfing in North Wales…inland?

Adventure Parc Snowdonia is one of the most popular adventure attractions, not just in Wales but in the whole of the UK! Learn to surf, master stand up paddle boarding, experience the thrill of coasteering or gorge walking, climb a mountain (or abseil down one) or get on your bike and enjoy some of the best single track and downhill anywhere.

You won’t even have to prepare for wet weather as the new Adrenaline Indoors offers just as much fun, just undercover! Experience a nature-inspired high-thrills adventure. Includes artificial caving, climbing walls, extreme slides, via ferrata, a multi-level aerial assault course and parkour ninja trail. There are ‘freefall’ jumps for the fearless, and you can even take a zip line over our surf lagoon! A weather-proof day out for thrill-seekers of all ages. Includes a separate soft play zone for younger visitors.

OK, so its clear there is a lot to do, but we’ve not even mentioned underground trampolining at Go-Below, forest roller coasters, skiing, Welsh Mountain Zoo, Conwy Castle, Bodnant Gardens or the longest pier in Wales.

To get the most of your holiday, you’ll obviously need a place to stay, a location that makes it easy to visit all these places and of course somewhere that offers everything you need for your summer break. Welcome to St George’s Hotel.
