From April 2027, a small nightly visitor levy may be introduced in Conwy, following new legislation in Wales. If applied locally, this would mean an additional charge of £1.30 per person, per night, added to your bill at checkout.
This levy is designed to support the local community by funding services such as street cleaning, public toilets, waste collection, green spaces, heritage sites, beaches, and cultural attractions – ensuring the area stays beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
Many destinations across Europe and the UK already have similar levies in place, and this is a standard way of supporting tourism in a sustainable way.
We’ll continue to share updates as Conwy Council confirms its plans, and rest assured, all information will be clearly explained before your stay so there are no surprises at checkout.
