Like many across North Wales, we have been watching the events unfolding on Conwy Mountain with concern as firefighters and emergency services continue to respond to the wildfire affecting local communities.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted, particularly those residents who have had to leave their homes, as well as the crews working tirelessly in challenging conditions to keep people safe.

As a small gesture of support, St George’s Hotel will be offering complimentary tea, coffee and soft drinks to firefighters, emergency service personnel and local residents affected by the incident who may need somewhere to take a break.

Emergency service personnel are simply asked to show their work identification on arrival.

Residents affected by the incident can let our team know their address and we will verify this before offering refreshments.

Whilst we are unfortunately unable to offer accommodation due to current availability, we hope we can provide a warm welcome, a comfortable seat and a hot drink for those who need one.

Please stay safe, follow guidance from the emergency services and continue to avoid affected areas while crews remain on scene.
