St George’s Hotel is proud to celebrate a partnership with the Llandudno Lions Club that has spanned five decades. From the very beginning, the hotel has been at the heart of the Lions’ community activities, hosting regular meetings and charter dinners, as well as supporting major events.
As part of its ongoing support, the St George’s Hotel has committed to hosting all of the Lions Club’s monthly meetings throughout 2026 and is donating over £1,000 to help fund the club. This collaboration highlights the hotel’s dedication to fostering strong community ties in Llandudno and supporting organisations that make a positive impact locally.
“We are incredibly proud of our longstanding partnership with the Llandudno Lions Club,” said Michael Brackney, General Manager at St George’s Hotel. “Working together over the past five decades has allowed us to support local causes and contribute to the community in meaningful ways.”
The Llandudno Lions Club plays an important role in supporting the local community, raising funds for a wide range of charitable causes and community initiatives. Through organising popular local events, and providing assistance where it is most needed, the club has built a strong reputation for making a positive impact across Llandudno.
“The Llandudno Lions Club and the St George’s Hotel are proud to celebrate a partnership spanning five decades”, said Martin Smith, the club secretary. “This enduring bond began in the 1970s through a shared commitment to local tradition, most notably the Boxing Day Sea Dip.”
This strong relationship reflects the hotel’s commitment to more than just hospitality. By continuing to host the Lions’ meetings and special events, including the landmark 50th Anniversary Charter in 2026, St George’s Hotel demonstrates its dedication to preserving tradition, encouraging charitable engagement, and strengthening the community bonds that have defined Llandudno for generations.
