  • Begin your North Wales adventure with a leisurely walk along Llandudno’s Victorian promenade, soaking in the stunning views of the bay.
  • A visit toĀ Llandudno Pier, the longest in Wales, will transport you back in time with its nostalgic seaside charm.
  • For a panoramic view of the town and coastline, take the historicĀ tramwayĀ up to the summit of the Great Orme, a limestone headland that offers breath-taking scenery.
  • You can also explore the ancientĀ Great Orme Copper Mines, the oldest known metal mines open to the public.
  • If you prefer, take the cable car to the summit instead, though be mindful that it operates weather permitting, and is cash-only.

Day 1: Llandudno and Conwy – Part 2

  • Back in Llandudno, indulge in a traditionalĀ afternoon teaĀ at St George’s Hotel.

With over 170 years of history, this iconic Victorian establishment has been lovingly refurbished while retaining its original charm. Enjoy your tea with a view of the sea and take a moment to relax and refuel for the rest of your day.

Day 1: Llandudno and Conwy – Part 3

  • In the afternoon, make your way to Conwy, a short drive or train ride away. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home toĀ Conwy Castle, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval fortifications.
  • Walk along the town walls for spectacular views of the castle, the town, and the estuary.
  • Wander through Conwy’s quaint streets, visit the quayside, and discover theĀ smallest house in Britain, a tiny fisherman’s cottage just 1.8 meters wide.
  • Don’t miss theĀ Conwy Mussel Museum, which tells the story of Conwy’s historic pearl fisheries and traditional mussel harvesting.

Day 1: Llandudno and Conwy – Part 4

  • After exploring Conwy, return to Llandudno. If time allows, consider a tour of theĀ PenderynĀ Llandudno Lloyd Street Distillery, where you can learn about the history ofĀ PenderynĀ whisky, see how it’s made, and sample some of their finest products.

Day 1: Llandudno and Conwy – Part 5

  • For dinner, dine atĀ The Terrace RestaurantĀ at St George’s Hotel, where you can savour delicious cuisine while enjoying unbeatable views of Llandudno Bay.
  • End your day with a peaceful visit to Llandudno’s lesser-knownĀ West Shore Beach, the perfect vantage point to watch the sun set in hues of pink and orange if the weather is on your side, marking the end of your first day in North Wales.

Day 2: Portmerion and Snowdonia – Part 1

  • Start your day with a hearty breakfast at St George’s Hotel.
  • Embark on a scenic drive to the Italianate village ofĀ Portmeirion.Ā The route will take you through some ofĀ Eryri’sĀ (Snowdonia) most stunning mountain scenery, including a picturesque viewpoint of Llyn Gwynant just past theĀ Llanberis Pass.

Day 2: Portmerion and Snowdonia – Part 2

  • If you’re up for an adventure, consider hiking one of the trails up Mount Snowdon, with the Pyg Track being a popular choice for its stunning scenery.
  • Alternatively, take theĀ Snowdon Mountain RailwayĀ for a more leisurely ascent to the summit, where you can enjoy breath-taking views without the strenuous hike. Be sure to book your tickets in advance.

Day 2: Portmerion and Snowdonia – Part 3

  • In the afternoon, visit theĀ National Slate Museum, where you can delve into the history of slate quarrying in the region.
  • If you have time, take a relaxing stroll aroundĀ Llyn Padarn, a beautiful glacially formed lake. For the more adventurous, kayaking or paddle boarding on the lake is also an option.
  • Return to Llandudno for the evening and unwind with a more relaxed dining experience at theĀ Terrace BarĀ in St George’s Hotel.

Day 3: Caernarfon and Anglesey – Part 1

  • On your final day, drive to Caernarfon, just 30 minutes from Llandudno, to exploreĀ Caernarfon Castle, another of Edward I’s imposing fortresses and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Afterward, cross the Menai Strait to the Isle of Anglesey and head toĀ Beaumaris, a charming town with its own impressive castle and a lovely seafront.

Day 3: Caernarfon and Anglesey – Part 2
