We may be biased but Llandudno’s North Shore Beach, located in the charming Victorian seaside town of Llandudno, is our first recommendation. The beach features a mix of sand and shingle, making it perfect for a traditional seaside day out. With it’s crescent-shape framed by the impressive Great Orme and Little Orme headlands it’s a bay with wonderful amenities and a magical spot for exploration.

There are several parking options in Llandudno. The most convenient is the large pay-and-display car park located near the North Parade. Additional parking is available along the promenade and in the town centre, all within easy walking distance of the beach.

Dogs are not allowed on North Shore Beach between May 1st and September 30th. However, during the off-season, the beach is dog-friendly, making it a great place to visit with your furry friends in autumn and winter.

Llandudno Attractions

Barmouth Beach

Barmouth Beach is a vast expanse of golden sand backed by dunes and the scenic Mawddach Estuary. This beach is popular with families and offers stunning views across Cardigan Bay. Barmouth itself is a traditional seaside town, adding to the charm of the beach.
