New local rules will be in place for Conwy County from 6pm on Thursday 1st October
Following a sharp increase in coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Conwy County Borough area, new restrictions have been introduced to reduce the spread of the virus and protect public health for people living in the area.
The restrictions come into force at 6pm on 1st October 2020 and will be kept under review.
The main restrictions are:
- People will not be allowed to enter or leave the Conwy County Borough area without a reasonable excuse (such as travelling for work or education)
- People will no longer be able to form, or be in, an extended household (sometimes called a “bubble”)
- This means meeting indoors with anyone who is not part of your household (people you live with) is not allowed at the moment, unless you have a good reason, such as providing care to a vulnerable person
- All licensed premises have to stop serving alcohol at 10pm
Existing Reservations Between 1st - 15th October
If you have a bedroom booked during these dates, we will be getting in touch with you about your reservation.
If you are staying for leisure, we will talk to you about moving your reservation to an alternative date.
If you are staying with us you must have a reasonable excuse (such as travelling for work or education)
New Reservations Between 1st - 15th October
We are only accepting new bedroom reservations during the initial lockdown period for guests who live within Conwy or are visiting Conwy with a reasonable excuse (such as travelling for work or education)
Visits from outside Conwy during lockdown?
During the initial lockdown we are only able to serve residents of Conwy in our Lounge and Bar areas for food and drink. Afternoon Tea in the Terrace Lounge will only be available for Conwy residents between 1st - 15th October.
We are currently receiving a large volume of telephone calls, if you are staying with us during the next two weeks please do not call the hotel, we will be in contact with you about your reservation over the next couple of days
WE WILL STAY OPEN
Even though Conwy is in local lockdown, we will stay open for local residents and to accommodate key workers and anyone who has to travel and stay in Llandudno.
